Testers of a new web-based game wanted! Create your own city

Post by MrTarzan »

Do you like web-based strategy games?

In Metropolis the objective is to build your own city. I need testers to find bugs and come with suggestions on development.

K, this is my first post on this forum. I know enough php to help here :)

I signed up... as varvaxy and as tester1 (because I forgot the password to my email and had to use another one to sign up)

First thing I noticed... there is nothing stopping a person from having a password the same as their username. (inb4 someone steals tester1 from me)

Next, not realy a bug either, but the scrolling of the world map is too slow... It should move by more at once.

"Terminate account
You are not able to terminate your account."

Why can't people delete their accounts?

That's all I can really do atm. I'll post more if I see anything else that could be improved.

Is this game a one person (or few people) project just for fun or a paid project?

That's a really good point. I havn't done so much yet about the sequrity checks for passwords and usernames. That should of course be taken care of.

I totally agree. I'm thinking about AJAX for that purpose, so the whole page doesn't have to be reloaded.

That's actually because this is a test run and I'm lazy :) It will be implemented too.

So far a one person project just for fun. But I'm probably going to involve a fiew others. At least a graphic designer, and maybe a programmer.
Thanks for the input! If you have more criticism, just tell me.
