School Hot Lunch Order Form -- Volunteer needed

Post by bobsmama »

Hello,
Okay, I am determined now to begin learning PHP. I have put it off too long.

Anyway, our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) would like to use the online order form located at:
http://chandlerpreppo.org/lunch/main.php

Here is some brief info. from the person who created the order form.
*********************************************************************
Below is a link to the order form our families access each month. It’s a PHP-based script linked to SQL databases. Until we get the administrative scripts written, there are edits I make manually to a couple of other associated PHP scripts as well as updates to the databases in order to make this form current to the order period. These are all basically simple edits – there’s no new coding involved – so if you’re comfortable with any kind of code editing (especially HTML), you shouldn’t find it difficult. Let me know if you’d also like to see the actual PHP script to take a look at the coding.

Another part of what I do manually is generating the reports based on orders. One of the links that help me do that is also included below so you can get an idea of what else goes on behind the scenes. Two of the final reports are attached as PDF files – one is the contract with total food orders that’s given to the vendor and the other is a sample of what the volunteers who distribute the food get (the color coding is a tweak on my part to help make distribution faster and easier).

I am not familiar with PHP, so in order for us to move forward what questions will I need to ask in a meeting I have with the School's Web Designer -- without looking too dumb? Upon looking at this order form, what will it take to successfully transfer this to our school's web server?

I would really appreciate the help and am willing to pay some small amount.

Thank You
