Help with website database

Post by TheARC »

Hi all.

Hoping someone can offer some advice.

Im in the progress of setting up an online forum with phpbb3 this is all upand running with a gallery mod.

What i want to do next their is no mod currently available! my php and mysql experience runs as far as installing the mod from the provided instructions! so non existant!!

I want to add a an online database that contains information to 1000's of sites across the uk and europe and the facilities that they offer to customers. this will need to be easy to use and searchable via different options, post code region, city town etc. etc.

See link to an example http://camping.uk-directory.com/campsite_search.php

I would also like users to be able to comment/review on each should they wish to..

And with all this i would like to keep it around the same style as the forum..

Now im a complete novice and i know my limitiations! so im hoping someone can point me in the direction of a mod or help that i might have missed!

Were non profit and only just setting so the paid for help is difficult

Hoping you can Help..

Thanks

All i have so far is the forum and gallery, the gallery is a mod, so users only need log in the one time.

Other than that all i have is what i want to do and how i would like it to look.. i have no problem with reading up on stuff to help. the problem is i just dont know where to start??
