I've got a few questions about dualbooting with redhat and windows xp pro (that's already installed).
I'd like to keep the existing winxp and use part of my disk space (60gb) for redhat, and have the option, when booting up, to select the OS that I want to load.
I've tried searching on google, but most of them relate to Redhat 7.1 and even 6.0.

Well, I don't use RedHat, but I use SuSE, and on installation, I can choose not to destroy a Windows partition (if I had one). Anyways, when it loads up, it loads up Grub, and it lets me choose, Windows or Linux. This is done on installation of SuSE itself. I will assume that Red Hat has something similiar.

RedHat uses Grub as well. I have a system that had windows on it and installed RedHat and had no problems with it keeping windows intact.
Grub seems to be the way to go.

Make sure your run a deframentor first, and chose options to "maximize contiguous free space" this should cause it to move all the files to the front of the drive, letting you use the back half for Linux.
In some extreme cases, windows does sticks "non-moveable" system files on the rear of the drive. This is a common problem if you;ve been using the machine for a while and is something to watch out for... (I'm wonder if its just a coincidence of some anti-dual-boot conspiracy

)
