Is it a WinModem? Or what modem is it?

*reads the cover* SpeedStream 4060 ADSL Modem. It came with my ISP. The company is so called "Efficient Networks". I can see it detected (I guess) under the KDE hardware browser.
In windows I have to like wait till the modem light is green and then make some kind of dail up connection. (I suck with anything network). Anyhow, I've got this job I'm doing. If I get enough cash when It transfers to here, I should be buying a Ethernet modem.
I screwed around with some files in RedHat too. So probably that's another thing.
Just one thing. I can't cope with gIMP. I heard Wine lets people run Windows Apps in Linux. Now I can't live without Photoshop and 3D Max. Got any idea on that?

isn't it possible to only use the first installation disc during the installation, and install only the basic things or something, and install the other things later on desktop, ( like the windows components

)...
cuz then it would be possible

Could you not just try another CDROM drive for installation?
