I am so stupid. I chose the default packages when installing Mandrake..and it didn't compile GCC! Now I have to do it myself..All I wanted to do was to be able to run a IRC client too! BTW, I want to switch to KDE...How do I?

Yeah, I have been just logging out then selecting KDE. The weird thing is that under GCC, KDE is selected as the default.
