Slackware crc

Post by Straterra »

I just installed Slackware 9.1 on my server. I rebooted...and after the kernal image was loaded, it got like 3 dots into the kernal loading before I got this error.

crc error
linux terminated

I think that is what the last line says, not sure though.

Sounds to me like a corrupted, incomplete, bad download of slackware. You can get the MD5 sum of the ISO and compare it with the md5 of the iso you downloaded. If they don't match, redownload it. Crc could also mean somebody tampered with it.

I did some tinkering, and it seems some weird option for Win95 in my BIOS was causing it.
