Optimal Apache on Linux setup

Post by mccommunity »

My boss has said that I can put together the ultimate server for our company. We get 100's of thousands of hits per day and our server has been crashing. I need the best apache configuration possible. Whether it is clustering or whatever. Could someone who knows apache tell me the optimal configuration for apache that is the most stable and resiliant. Thank you very much for this information.

Great. Now my boss said: "Don't double-post or I'll eat your thumb in Valpolicella" (no, I don't like liver and I can't afford Chianti.)

I've deleted your double-post.

I don't know the best Apache configuration, I'm still learning it myself. I guess just read the manual and check over every option. If you come up with something though, post it here pls.
