KDE vs Gnome

I'm just completely curious what the general opinion is here.
It seems (before I run this poll) that Gnome is likely to come out tops but I'm an avid KDE user and can't find Gnome to be anywhere as near as pleasant. That said, I'm a bit of an "obesessive" when it comes to cosmetic enhancements on my desktop / icons etc...
BTW... if you chose "other" what do you use and why?

Well, I like that KDE is cleaner and all, but Gnome is more... bah, can't think of the word. I like Gnome better, though.

I like KDE/Konqueror/ I think it's great. Gnome bothers me cause it's kinda like Mac but not really. But I supose you could say the same thing about KDE/Windows. MEh... I just like KDE better.

KDE, but I like a lot of the features of gnome and would switch over if it supported minimizing windows into their title bar and a little better customization of the panels.

All I ever see is the command line. Does anyone really need more than that?
Sure looks like GTK is winning at Freshmeat.

Most of my geek friends think that Gnome is so much better. They have the right to their own opining, but i've been using KDE since 1.1.2 or so and like it much more than any other desktop environment... Last years i've been running kde-cvs on my laptop and (apart from things being b0rken once in a while) it was a nice experience...
But hey, the GTK+ people were nice enough to mention me as a contributor when gtk+ 2.6.0 was released
