Using FreeBSD

Post by s.dot »

I've been wanting to use freebsd for quite some time.

Every time I go to install, I have no clue what I'm doing when it boots up, so I have to resort back to windows.

When it loads, I get two screens, a login window and an xterm window.

I want to load the KDE.

Can anyone give me some pointers?
Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.

I assume freebsd has packages for kde:

Code: Select all

pkg_add -r kde

Have a look at http://freebsd.kde.org/ too
