Belkin FSD6050 Under SUSE Linux 10.0

Okay, I'm still something of a newbie to Linux. Can anyone explain to me how to get a Belkin FSD6050 external USB wireless adaptor to work under SUSE Linux 10.0? I've heard that the atmel-firmware package can make it work... but I'm a little confused as regards a) how to install it and b) how to configure it thereafter.
It's not a major problem (obviously! I'm writing from the system in question) as I can just plug myself in using cat 5, but it's probably the only thing stopping me now from switching for virtually everything to Linux - it's my default boot on this computer at the moment (haven't booted into my Win2k on this system for ages), but if I just want to idly do something, I'll normally use my laptop as the wifi makes it a lot more convenient.
