Whether you are using Linux on the desktop or as a server, it's still good that you're using Linux. Linux related questions go here.

[Red Hat Fedora]: impossible to connect to the net.

Post by cheikhbouchihda »

Good morning every body,
I have installed the Red Hat Fedora Linux system, without problems, but, after doing the necessary configuration to acced to the internet with a modem ethernet speedtouch(by following the instructions in the book), I try to go to the net : Mozilla -> http://www.google.fr -> I get : impossible to connect to http://www.google.fr, (or in commande ligne: #ping http://www.google.fr -> http://www.google : unknown host).....so, after configuration, it's impossible for me to go to the net...
Therefore, and simply, I ask you a question: what must I do, in this case, to have internet with Red Hat Fedora .Thanks in advence for the answer. :)

Login to your modem at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.0 and enter your connection information.

Consult the modem documentation for configuration instructions. Just a Guess.
