Godaddy help centre MySQL upgrade solution

Has anyone tried this procedure from Godaddy's help files? It seems to have a roll-back option.

I have upgraded from Plesk 7.5.4 to 8.0.0, and wish to run MediaWikis on my server. They require MySQL 4.1.14 minimum. I'm quite busy, and really don't wish to have to spend several days reinstalling all my websites.

I'm pleased to see that MySQL 4 is possible on Fedora 2.

The one thing that irritates me the most is how many widely used software packages still use legacy apps? I was amazed that a dedicated server would be running FC2 in the first place, let alone with MySQL 3.23. And that whole issue with Plesk not running on MySQL 5 really irks me. But hey, I guess when I am rich enough to own my own server farm, I can pay someone to configure them however I want.

I would have used it... IF THEY HAD THE DARN THING AVAILABLE AT THE TIME! The only asnwer I got from their support people was that I could do whatever I wanted but everything I did was on me. Man, you gotta love good customer service.
