does Dreamweaver work on Linux?
Any Editer who is best for PHP in Linux or both linux & window?

Eclipse is identical on both (in terms of usability, functionality and aethetics.. of course the binaries are different.)

I thought eclipse was written in java... why would the binaries differ then?

Dreamweaver will run fine Linux if you use the correct Wine configuration. Hint: CrossOver Office (Xover).

Yeah Dreamweaver MX will run on Crossover, Pretty sure you the newer versions won't.
