Not a problem post, sorry, but it was good news for me, so hopefully good news for others, too :)

Does it actually run decently.. and not suck up all the system resources?

According to others on the Gentoo forum (I haven't tested myself) it works well, but if that is a comparison (and on par) to v7, or a generic 'well' I do not know.

I've been using the beta for a week or two under ubuntu 6.06 and it's been a god-send.. no more do I need to load up FF under wine to view a (rapidly) growing number of sites that force flash9. I have noticed a regular locking up of the browser when trying to close a tab that contains a video, but it's not enough to make me mad due to ff2's restore session feature.

I'm not sure if the version that I've been using is the same that is now posted online though, I'll have to check it when I get home tonite...
