Disable atime

Post by alex.barylski »

I want to disable atime as my server is primarily a web server and so atimes will likely be updated like crazy. Before I do so, can anyone think of any programs which might be affected?

I think most applications would rely on mtime, except maybe statistic tools which inform you of antiquated files??? Anyways, should I reconsider switching this off, if so, can you actually name a single application that you know of which this would affect?
