Regarding pdf search component

Whether you are using Linux on the desktop or as a server, it's still good that you're using Linux. Linux related questions go here.

pdf search component required

Post by lisakurien »

Hello

Basically I am looking for a component/code that will help me to search the content of pdf files and dispaly teh result if the search text is found in any pdf file on the site. These pdf files will be uploaded from the backend.

Tried Sphider search and it works perfectly well on Windows platform. But the client has a Linux server and the external binary that we found for that does not produce any results.

Please comment on any other code/component available for the same.

Quick google search pointed out Beagle but I have not used it and documentation is listed as poor/nonexistent.

Another one to look at is PHPDig.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
