Fixing up my new installation

My last IDE hard drive died today. Luckily, all that was on it was Windows and COD4 (noooo, my save files!). Also luckily, I had an 80gb SATA drive that I've been meaning to install Windows and Ubuntu onto. This was totally the kick in the pants I needed to actually get it done. After many trials and tribulations, I eventually got three partitions onto the drive: one 22gb, one 50gb and one 8gb(?) I dunno why the 8gb partition is there. Unfortunately I accidentally put XP on the 22gb partition, and linux on the 50gb partition. Can you guys help me with the following three things?

Using parted's resize command (I think that's what I need to use?), what should I do to change the XP partition to 50gb and Linux to 22gb? I don't understand how to make it resize the partition to be from the beginning of the drive to Xmb in. Also, is there any way to get rid of that small 8gb partition and combine it with one of the other partitions? I do have a live CD so I can use that if needed.

GRUB has 4 options on it: Ubuntu, Ubuntu recover, memtest 86, Windows XP. Is it possible to hide some of those options if I want to? The default selection is Ubuntu. How can I make it so that the default selection is Windows XP? edit: "gksudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst" change default to 3 instead of 0.

I can't get my Linksys wireless card to work in Ubuntu. Are there any special steps to take, or drivers to find, for it? It's pretty much worthless to me without internet access. edit: bwahaha, fixed it. When I get home I'll post the steps I took (at work now).

Thanks!
