Hey,
I have a development server at home which has fedora 8 on it and running loads of stuff (svn etc). I now want to use a different server machine (which is higher spec) but with the same hard drive. Can I just swap the hard drive in to the newer machine? Or will I have issues?
Cheers

I've done this several times successfully - you may need to load the appropriate modules for you hardware - NIC especially.
Just try it

If I need to load modules for the new hardware, can I do this through YUM?

Decided against that server setup in the end. I have organised my servers differently. But thanks for the feedback
