Command line zip

Post by jaoudestudios »

When I zip a folder on the command line I do not get a progress bar or percent complete. Is there a way to get the progress to show, in any format, bar/percentage etc.

the -v option should do it.

Edit: Sorry, that won't show a percentage of progress. I'll keep looking.

I had a look (google), but could not find anything, I was hoping there is a hidden gem that I am unaware of :)
