Update my debian source list file?

Post by alex.barylski »

I currently have debian.yorku.ca as my source...they suck...I want something different...short of manually finding one in Calgary or Minnisota (closer to me) and updating the lines manually -- is there a tool I can call to re-configure that sources.list file?

I think it's easy enough to change /etc/apt/sources.list by hand ;)

Haha OK fine...

So I assume it's just a matter of replacing the domains with alternatives? Is it possible to have multiple sources? So I can keep yorku.ca and maybe add one for ualberta.ca and maybe even a local university so if one goes down (like yorku.ca always seems to) the system will try another source?
