Post by andydeans »

Hi,

I am having trouble getting php to work on my computer, have got mysql installed no problem, apache installed and when i go to localhost it says install successful, however if i add a index.php file into htdocs folder on my program files(x86) it asks me to open or save file it does not display it??

any help would be great, total newbie to PHP.

Thanks in advance.

I just use WAMP.

Installed it on Windows 7 a few days ago and works fine, so I would recommend that.

Unistall mysql, apache and download WAMP would be my suggestion... :)

I use WAMP too! I wrote a blog post about a week ago that lists 4 different ways to get php running on windows... If WAMP doesn't work, one of the others will, but WAMP probably will.
