Searchmacshine, frames and mod_rewrite?

Hello,
I have a webpage realized with frames (yes I am aware of th pro's and con's of frames!)
O.k., Google has spidered a single HTML-template and shows this in its hits. Klicking on the found link brings me directly to the template, navigation and other important frames missing.
My question: Can I, with the help of mod_rewrite, automatically redirect to the main page, if somebody enters a direct link in the browsers url or comes from a page like e.g. google.
If that works, there may be some pages which actually are allowed to be called directly. How do I exclude them?
Thanks.
