Im trying to download apache from apache.org.
one question why the hell do you have to download from a mirror site why isnt it just there with a plain and simple 'Download Now' option ok so this is the first part of my WAMP installation process now I have ben told that I need the win32 binary MSI file WHERE do I find that there is soo many other files to download??
anyone got any advice

Mirror site = faster download since you pick the location nearest you.
Find the file in the download list that says "win32 binary" - I struggled to work that bit out when I wondered where the win32 binary was

. (Probably a zip, msi, or exe).
Install it, following it's tremendously difficult options (I just dont know how they expect people to manage). If you get stuck at the point where it says "Click OK to Continue" then just erm... oh yeah - click "OK"
Then to use it, just put your files in htdocs (within the apache group in program files (unless you manually edit the httpd.conf file to specify another location)). Open your web browser and type
http://localhost and that's it.
Did you think to read the instructions on the website?

Sorry about the blatant sarcasm but come on... Read their own website, search on Google.....
