Hi
Im runing win2k server with a
10/100 network card.
Lan is fine....for a while.

When I switch the machine on,
all is fine, then somethings 3 hours later
somethimes 3 mins later, the netowking stops working.
I check the status and it says:
Packets Sent | Recived
xxxx 0

I tested the card on another machine and all worked there,
I have the lasted unpdated for windows, and the latest drives...

Whats going on?

isn't there a logbook or something alike in windows where you might be able to find an error message?

if you are using dhcp you might want to look at the dhcp server logs too...

you could try reinstalling network card drivers...

i believe event id is an indication that windows failed to load a driver/service

Download some more up-to-date drivers (if you can stay online for long enough).

There may be a known bug with them by now.

Try the card on a different PCI slot if that fails.
