Hello,
Someone please help me, I'm new to this. I'm going mad. I'm have been trying to get Apache and PHP to work for the past 48 hrs with no success. I'm using WinXP SP2

I have gone through a few forums and all have conflicting instructions hence I'm lost.
This is what I have:
I have successfully installed Apache 2.0.54
I have also successfully installed mysql-4.0.26-win32
On installing php-4.4.0-Win32, I modified my httdp.conf file adding the following:
LoadModule php4_module "c:\php/php4apache2.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php.

All the details about the modification to be done to php.ini appears to be conflicting and hence I have completely removed php and left it in it's zipped state in a temp directory. I have created the directory c:\php where it will be unzipped

Could someone please give me a step by step direction on what I need to do to get phpinfp() to work. I've been trying this for a while now. Istill have to make mysql and php to work together.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Tny

Only installed those on XP once, I am still amazed I got it to work and dumb founded how I got it to work. I had no choice but to install the pieces however might I suggest you try a bundle?

Apache/PHP/MySQL

Usually you can find lots of help installing one of those bundle on their sites.

Hi Buddha443556,
Thanks for getting back to me. I really appreciate your idea. But I have tried the suite you recommended about 3 weeks ago and had loads of issues when I came to install MySQL hence I dumped the idea and resorted to installing the software separately.
I will give it a try again. I'll keep everyone posted.
Thanks.
