Folder permissions

Post by JasonTC »

I'm logged into my (Windows) server as an administrator. There's a certain subfolder that I created myself for storing the site's images. When I go into the folder's properties, the Read-Only checkbox is gray and checked. Despite the fact that it's gray, I'm able to un-check it and it lets me click Apply or OK.

If I close that dialog and then re-open it, the Read-Only box is checked again. Why?

Thanks,
Jason

I saw this once, I think it was because of a virus. It was a while back so I am not certain, but just in case you should run your virus protection on your web server.
