Changing IIS default document pages

Post by ssand »

I haven't worked much with Microsoft servers and need to change the default page be to index.php rather than default.htm (I have a temp redirect setup but would like to remove it).

Is this information somehow similar to the way the apache config file is setup?
Or, what file do I need to look for is probably a better question?

This is a hosted site running Microsoft-IIS/5.0

I have yet to receive the logins from my client so I haven't even been able to poke around and see if I could find it. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction once I get access.

Thanks - Steve

there is a tab on the site properties dialogue box called 'documents' or some such.

in there it lists the default pages (in order of preference).

simply change that value to your 'true' home page.
