configuring a .net site in my iis problem!!!

Post by mihalisp »

Hi guys,i have a asp.net site in my iis in xp pro at home installed and i want it to be seen through internet.

I have opened ports in my dsl router for the web server,i have set up the security permissions of the folder of my site and i have enabled the anonymous access so that everyone can see the site in the internet. Also i have enabled the iusr and iwam accounts so that they have read rights to that folder in the security and share tabs in xp.

But still noone can see the site.I have tried everything but there is no result.

Can anyone help me???

Are you giving people the same IP that appears on http://www.whatismyip.com ? Maybe it changes before they get chance to access it.

Have you disabled Windows firewall/changed your firewall settings?
