Crimson Editor FTP problem.

Post by JellyFish »

Hi, I don't know where else to go on the forum other then Installation and Configuration, since this is a configuration issue.

I have Crimson Editor. And those of you who have it as well, maybe you could be of some assistance.

I'm trying to connect to my FTP on my web site. But I keep getting:
Failed to logon remote server.
220-You are number 11 of 50 allowed
What usually make Crimson Editor throw this exception? I placed:

FTP server: mywebpage.com
User name: my user name
Password: my password

I don't know what could be wrong? Please help with this I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for reading.

FTP servers are often run on "ftp.domain.com"

I tried changing my FTP server to "ftp.mydomainandnotgoingtogiveit.com" and I get the same response.

Can only one person at a time access a FTP server?

What does it my "You are number 12 of 50 allowed"???

I still don't know what the problem is?
Failed to logon remote server.
220-You are number 11 of 50 allowed
I gave all the right information:

FTP server: mywebsite.com
User name: MyCorrectUsername
Password: MyCorrectPassword

Maybe it's the FTP server? All I put is mywebsite.com. No ftp:// before it, no ftp.mywebsite.com.

Isn't there anyone on this forum that uses the program?
