CHANGED ISP'S AND NOW CANNOT ACCESS ADMIN FILES USING MY GOD ACCESS. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GET IT BACK?

Maybe you have the caps lock stuck on when entering your admin password?

If not, stop shouting.

I would guess that your "god" access was specific to the IP address your old ISP provided. There's not a hell of a lot you can do about it unless the access was a bit more broad than a single IP.

Might also be we don't know what a GOD access is. At least I don't. Never heard it before ..but in IT every day dozens of names and terms are made up.
GOD access sounds like .godmode or thereisnocowlevel to me.
What software do you use and whish some kind of admin access to?

I assumed god access meant you don't need a password because they identify you by location. But yeah, I'm guessing.

Maybe you should be asking the people who provide your access? ;)

God access is in PHP. It is the access for that one person who gives permissions to all others.

sorry for not explaining myself.. i am very new at this

What the heck are you talking about... PHP itself does not have any "GOD access", perhaps the application you wrote/installed is what you're talking about.

What is the address you go to to achieve this "GOD" access, what does this "GOD" access permit you to do?

We need more information other than, "HELP I'VE LOST MY GOD ACCESS" as that is meaningless to us.

We really do want to help, you just need to give us more to work with.

I will try to explain

When the website was set up by my friend he said he had "God" access! I had superuser access. When you go to edit admin I could in the past get in using his access and add and remove folks from the admin files and give access to new folks.

When I changed ISP's I lost my access and his access in the "edit admin" area.

I hope this gives all of you some more information in order to help me.I am very new at this so sorry for some misinformation or lacking information.

Code: Select all

[syntax=php]
[/syntax]

Then I would talk to your friend, as we have no idea what you're talking about. It seems to be some sort of custom built application, even if we did have any sort of clue what you were using, we couldn't help you.
