Hi all,

I want to upgrade my PHP 4.2.2 to PHP 5. I'm working on Linux 9. Is it possible to upgrade PHP without installing Fedora Core? If so, give me some tips...

Thanks in advance...

Linux 9? Do you mean Red Hat Linux 9? That's an ancient build. It's definitely possible, but a simple RPM may not be available for such an old build of Red Hat.

Just compile the version PHP you want and have Apache load it. You make need to compile a newer version of Apache as well.
