apache server under windows stops immediately

we have an apache server on windows it stops working we do not know why?

what has caused that ?

Have you looked at the error logs for apache?

a little late we have delete our windows and installing a new one for the force we have you any advice to prevent that again

usually it's because something else is using port 80 - check to make sure IIS isn't running and that something like Skype isn't using it as a backup connection port. Skype is a common culprit IIRC.

I had the same skype issue with port 80. If it does happen again, be sure to look at the error logs for apache as they will usually point the problem out straight away.

i do not know what was that i had mcaffe anti virus on the winxp but im not sure that was the problem
