I like yours sammy, but its also very much a *nix thing... I'm feel like if we used something like that the site is saying "i can't come up with something original." However, i love the wording with the filter on it. I like your idea also mudkicker, but the same thing applies. I'm just being picky, ignore me.
Yeah it is a real Linuxy thing. But you see we can have multiple themes on here, so we can make one that has nothing as the default. And then Tux can be there for a Linux theme, some "Windows-like" logo for the Win32'ers out there, and then maybe a "FreeBSD-like" logo for the Unix guys out there.Jade wrote:I like yours sammy, but its also very much a *nix thing... Just a thought.
Okay, here's my take on your logo:was wondering what you all could tell me about my logo, which i know isnt very good, but id like to know more of why its not good and how i could do it better next time...
1) backgound of the logo would be hard to incorporate into the site UNLESS it was decided to change the entire background of the forums to black.
2) The color of the words on the logo are hard to read against the colors in the background of the logo. I suggest next time you consider something like a white, or a light gray, something thats more in contrast with the back.
3) The style of the font you used looks a little playful, and (i'm guessing) that they're going for a more professional look. So you might want to consider changing the font.
