1) This first one there's an R in the ratchet shape. This draws your eye away from the words. The words beside the letter R and the letter R compete for attention, which is why the first one looks a little strange. If you wanted to still go with this one I suggest you change the color of the letter R to a red so that it kind of fades into the background of the ratchet, this would take the focus off of the black letter in the all white/red logo.
2) The second one is personally the best. You keep the ratchet shape but you draw visitors attention to the words. If you want to make the ratchet symbol "memorable" like the nike check, or the apple for apple computers, i suggest you put the ratchet shape by ITSELF on other pages. That way they'll associate the shape with the company.
3) In this one the ratchet by itself is doing the same thing that the black letter R was doing. It's competiting for attention. My suggestion to you if you like this one best is to fade out the ratchet shape so that its visible, but not as much of a focus in the picture.
