What Graphics Software are you using?

Post by Chris Corbyn »

I use GIMP to do a lot of my work... it's free and it can do most of things I can do in Photoshop. The menu system isn't too intuitive though.

Just recently I've been playing around with Inkscape... wow! It's perfect for things such as making flashy icon sets really quickly -- and again, it's free.

Everyone's gonna say Photoshop I know but I'm curious who else is using tools like I am... definitely worth trying out as an alternative :D

I voted Photoshop, but only coz there's no GD option. I make most of my title and button images with PHP these days. It's actually a lot easier when you need to make lots of them.

personally I have The Gimp on here for any graphics work I do (which is rarely much more than image sizing), the designers use all kinds of things here like photoshop etc

Lightwave for the 3-d rendering, photoshop for the design, fireworks for the slices, imageready for the gifs.

I'm a gimp fan, and it's getting better with every release. Photoshop is great but a bit pricey. I never really liked Fireworks, I don't think it turned out as good as they had in mind though.
