color to transparency (photoshop)

Post by weirdo »

hey, i need some help.
there must be any possibility to delete a certain color from an image.
in gimp it's easy. layer -> color to transparency (or so)
but how can i realize this in photoshop?
it's really annoying to open the gimp and save the psd-file...
thx

uhm...
does this even work with different gray-shades?
example in the gimp:
i have a picture in black/white. when i select white for the color to erase it doesn't just delete the color #000000 but sets even the gray-tones to a transparent black...

sorry for my english ^^

it can.. the controls allow you to ramp the range of how the selection happens.
