GIMP Gif Animation Transparency problem.

Post by JellyFish »

I'm using GIMP to construct an gif animation. I have six layers. Each layer has transparent backgrounds. The problem is when animating the layers appear to be visible behind each other because of the transparent background.

You see I want the transparent background to allow the image to be transparent not the individual layers.

Do you understand what I'm saying? Hopefully I've made myself as clear as I could.

Thanks for reading and I'd appreciate any help on this... :)

I believe there is a setting you can change which will "make only 1 layer visible" at a time.

That'll be nice. How do I do?

EDIT: According to this page I just add xreplace in the comment of a frame name?

Nevermind, got it. Place (replace) in the layer title. E.g: Frame #1 (100ms)(replace).
