Well I have a question! I want to know if we made a custom image format will we be able to embed it into webpages? I mean those image formats that the browser do not support.

Otherwise can anyone tell me how the image formats are recoganised and processed in the client side?

The client must know how to process the image or it will show a broken image or error of some fashion. So you will need to supply a plugin they can use to view it -- good luck getting users to install it.

What's special about your image format that isn't serviced by the standard, supported image formats?
