Hi guys,

I have to work on a new web site for a client. Its to create a sort of virtual room with images as link. I am not too good with graphics, but I want to make sure I deliver an application that is reasonably exciting, not a boring looking site.

I dont know where to start, an example of an interface I am looking to build can be found here;

Please advice.

Thanks.

I cant afford that, I was hoping there is a 3d software or tutorial that can teach me this sort of stuff. I am prepared to work hard to learn.
By the way what are this sort of sites called?

Google Sketchup ( http://sketchup.google.com/ ) is a pretty easy to use 3D application. When I had a play about with it I managed to make some fairly complicated scenes after just a few hours.

Right. You seem to be misunderstanding the concept. All you'll be able to do in Sketchup (or any 3d package, or any drawing package) will be to make pictures. You'll have to create an imagemap, or javascript hotspots or whatever, in your HTML or in Flash. You can't take 3D objects and just stick them in your site as links.
