Making PDA Friendly pages.

It doesn't matter if you do all the error checking in the world, or if you have the most beautiful graphics, if your site or application design isn't usable, it's not going to do well. Get input and advice on usability and user interface issues here.

Making PDA Friendly pages.

Post by hawleyjr »

I feel this is a sufficient question for the new forum.

I am moving up in cell phone life and purchasing the BlackBerry 7750. I need to create some pages that are suitable for cell phones/PDA's. I have in the past come across sites talking about design etc. but have disregarded them. Has anyone else developed a website and made it PDA friendly? Most likely, the pages I'll create will be for server stats and day-to-day table queries. Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,

-James

A quick google turned up this link, and it looks pretty helpful.

From that SitePoint link:
Keep the sum total of your pages to between 50-100KB in size.
You think?!

Dear God, 100KB for a standard web browser is obscene, I'd say more like 5 - 10kb for a PDA / phone.
