Hi Everyone!!!
A committee and I just finished designing and implementing the website for a university in my province. I'd more than welcome any comments/critiques of the site. Please only focus on the layout common to all pages, as that's all I'm working on. Thanks a bunch.
The website

Looks OK to me, seems to be easy enough to navigate.
I must admit, I didn't spend too much time looking through so didn't explore all sections but I do have two small gripes....
Many of the pages extend off the bottom of the screen I like to see a link back to the top off the page again in this situation. You Javascript pop-up windows open to the same size as my current browser (Mozilla 1.6) window, I'm currently running my bowser window full size and this anoys me as I then have to use the task bar to get back to the original window (which has all my open tabs).
Oh, and 'Athletics->Athletics Calenader' lead to a '404'

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, everything you mentioned is out of my hands

, but I'll pass them on. Thanks again.

I thought you were looking for comments on the navigation/layout (as these two generally go hand in hand)? Care to be more specific as to which parts you would like feedback on?
If it purely layout then my original comment stands (seems OK).

nice work. maybe some subtle graphical treatment of the major headings/sections,
instead of the red text..

Thanks. I agree that the headers seem kind of plain. They are user editable, so I can't make a graphic out of them, but I'll see what I can do about making them prettier

having the entire site sucked up against the top with all the whitespace around the left, right and bottom feels a bit weird, but may be partly unavoidable..

What I'm looking for specifically is almost purely layout - how the header image is, where the menu is, where the green C is, and that sort of thing. Beyond that and the CSS, I don't have any control.
That said, if you find something glaringly bad in another part, I can certainly pass on that info to the appropriate person.
Thanks for the tips so far guys (or gals I guess).

I like the site design.
It fits into that "strictly professional, yet relaxed and neat" vibe that a lot of university/college sites give off.
Good stuff.
