i hope that i'm asking this in the right forum? if not let me know.
i am a college student about to graduate in 2-3 months and i am working on a portfolio website and at the moment i am working on the porfolio shell for all of my projects to go into. i am creating different comps to see which one would be best. could anyone give me feedback about my comps and also which ones they like/dislike and why? also, what would you suggest that i do to make any of the designs better? does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks

Honest opinion: Too many photoshop effects.

All the drop shadows, bevels, embossing and outlining stuff just takes your eye away from the design and content. Plus, anyone can switch on a drop shadow in photoshop, so it tends to look a little amatuerish.

The layout and colour scheme is nice though.

personally, I'm not a fan of any.. I think the last one is one I'd choose, if I were force to choose from the list provided.

Same here. The other ones are just two... bubbly. And make the black spiral on the bottom right lighter (what if you want to have fully wrapping text? Oh the horror!)

And make sure it works with ALL browsers. Inflexibility is shown when a webpage is "optimized" for one browser (what it really means is the designer was too lazy to make sure it worked with other browsers)
