It doesn't matter if you do all the error checking in the world, or if you have the most beautiful graphics, if your site or application design isn't usable, it's not going to do well. Get input and advice on usability and user interface issues here.

I designed and built this site a while back for my dad...
There are a few annoyances, like the alert on the first page, and a few others...
But i'd like to hear what you all say about what could use improvments...
Other than xhtml validation, etc...

You covered my top two: Valid code, and the intro page annoyance.
Beyond that, you might want to load it in Firefox to see the effect on the upper left hand corner.. not ideal.
The style and layout is nice.. the code, not so much.

yea the alert at entry is annoying
I viewed it in firefox...noticed the classified search form...
The membership signup form could use some improvements
