Page too cluttered

It doesn't matter if you do all the error checking in the world, or if you have the most beautiful graphics, if your site or application design isn't usable, it's not going to do well. Get input and advice on usability and user interface issues here.

Page too cluttered

Post by Luke »

Anybody have any ideas to make this page more clear? The list of specs just seems so cluttered. Ideas?
Feel free to comment on other pages while you are there. Thanks!

it's slightly better yes. I'd break the lists into bulleted ones to make reading them a bit easier. You may want to try a bit more of a subtle zebra striping by lightening the darker strips a bit. Maybe some more color would help too.

Maybe decrease the contrast between the rows a bit? (say, the blue to a lighter #EFF2F7)
As it is now it feels kind of overwhelming, the darkish blue distrects a bit from the actual data.
But that's only a detail you could have a look at.

Make the layout fluid if you can. On my screen here at work (1600x1200) it just stops halfway across ... it looks really awkward and cramped.

Have the names for each spec in separate column to the details. So you'd have two columns in a table-like fashion :)

EDIT | Scrap that. On a second look I see that the amount of text would be too much for that layout
