Try these:

- Colour Theory in a Nutshell
- ColorBlender.com

Not trying to be a smartass ... they've saved my non-desiger self on occasion ...

I think the color is fine its the lack of contrast, generally you want one or two complementing colors and then another color that contrasts it well that is easy to look at (and in my opinion light colored, it takes more work to make a page with a black background that is easy to look at). That colorblender site looks like it could come in handy, I seem to remember some downloadable program that existed for selecting color themes that automatically suggested colors to contrast the ones you choose, never tried it out

The colors themselves are ok, but it might be better to use the brightest colors only for some details that need attention - like headers or icons - instead of big areas left and right of the main area. As it is, if one tries to read the text the bright areas distract a lot. You could also try to reduce the saturation of the colors.

(p.s. what do you use to crank out so many sites so fast? i'm on quite a lot of coffee but cant keep up with that speed :)

Just desaturate the background colors and you will be fine.

Yep, looks very cool. I would like to see a site that was designed according to the colors which were suggested by this tool though so I can really tell how the final result is (of course it depends on the designer as well but still).

No offense but I think it's too dark. On the other hand, the code is neat and you used css and xhtml - good work with the code!

I think the color blender site is a good guideline... but don't use ALL the colors it gives you. I did that with the vod.digitalflux.net site and the biggest thing people comment on is the color scheme. Everybody has something to say about it.
