What colors portray fact & information?

Post by Luke »

I am building a site that I want to portray as truthful and honest. I know color has a lot to do with people's first impression of something as well as branding etc. What sorts of color schemes have worked to portray facts?

I'll take a stab and say fairly light or subtle greens and blues, for the most part.

Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.

Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity.

Hi Ninja,

these are my two blue colors of choice (i Love them religiously.)

blue1: #e0ecf0
blue2: #f0f4f8;

i try to do shading.... errrm i mean... if side 1 is blue1, then the side2 is blue2.

here's an example:

Code: Select all

| side 1 | side 2 |
| | |
| | |
| blue1 | blue2 |
| | |
| | |
| | |
Hope you find this useful ;)
