I've been working on this website for quite some time now, and due several factors, the go-live date has been pushed back several times. I think we are finally ready to go live this week, but I'd like to first get your opinions on the user interface. Nitpick please.

Original site: [removed] (pm me if you really want to see it)

New site: [removed] (pm me if you really want to see it)

Thanks guys!

EDIT: I almost forgot to mention - there will inevitably be some bugs/issues we will be fixing today, so be aware of that.

Also, I know it has issues in IE7 - those should be fixed today as well. :)

Also, feel free to set up an account

Very clean Ninja. Man, you are cranking out the designs faster than I can review them!

This one is very neat, crisp and easy to navigate. It requires very little instruction as it is very intuitive. The colors complement each other very well and it loads very fast. I am impressed. It is very nice in my opinion.

My only concern is the font size changing that happens in the right navigation area. Some fonts are smaller while some are normal or even medium sized. Is that your intention?

One small issue. The links for the featured products have an extra '/' in them.

Also the copyright information at the bottom might look better if it was all one colour, with links underlined. Right now it's kind of hard to see with it being so light.

Looks great

Good work!

@everah - not sure I understand what you mean. The category tree? If that's what you mean, then I imagine you're referring to the fact that the current category will be bold in the menu?

Design-wise, huge improvement. Very nice.

I like the buttons. ^_^

Homepage, on the right:

It just seems a little out of place that some text would be one size and most would be another.

Oh, ok... I see what you mean. I guess it is mainly because we want some things to call for more attention than others and some things take up too much room for how unimportant they are. For the particular text you circled, it's because the medium text is what we want them to read, and the small text is just a note. :)

I gotcha. That is literally the only thing I can think of to point out. Everything else sings in my opinion.

It could benefit from an increased line-height for the smaller text as it begins to clump at that size.

I was going to comment on the white dotted border around the header because it makes it look like you've selected something (like, the entire header :-p)... That is, until I clicked Details and it scrolled down :!:

No complaints. ^_^ :D

I used jquery and jquery plugins pretty heavily on this site (especially on the product page). I tried to only enhance (not replace) the user experience with javascript. Please let me know if you find any place where javascript is intrusive.

Well, the part that I just looked at.. You should have the div after promo-details be hidden by default and the other div displayed by default, since it'd be confusing for a user with JavaScript disabled seeing the details link, which leads to the women's section. Dad's and grads, huh? :-p

Much better! :-D
Yeah, any time your website has JavaScript, turn off JS in your browser, and see how the site functions without it. Accessibility. :D
