haha ok I definitely feel what your saying...I am planning on continually adding to the main page. I definitely want to have some kind of graphical instructions somewhere on the page...i was originally thinking on top of the new video's list (which needs to be labeled as well) but I might do a left side bar. It would fit nicely with the layout of the video pages.

Dude, that is a 1000% better in terms of user interface, in my opinion. There are a few small things that I am not digging, but they are really small things...

1. The login form fields do not align in Safari/Opera.
2. The text size/color difference on the contact page seems really out of place.
3. The home link should be swapped with the make big link, in my opinion.
4. When viewing a video, the posters name is missing (shows "'s video" in the upper left).

I didn't bother to check validation of your markup and CSS, as that is something that I should safely assume you did already ;) . Otherwise, I like this layout, color scheme and look/feel way better than the last one.

i agree that it feels like something is needed on the left side. maybe just some padding to pull it farther from the edge of the screen?

on my 1280x800 screen, the gray description space in the middle seems to be taking up waaaaaay too much room, and kind of seems overpowering. I'd also like to see something to separate each video/description area. It just feels like they run together a little bit to me.

also, the gray font color is killing my eyes. something that contrasts the background a little more would be wonderful.

other than that, it looks great :)

As mentioned previously in this thread, it still doesn't validate (on either XHTML or CSS).

The video player portion does not work if javascript is disabled. Thats a little surprising, it should at least play the video.

I concur about the validation. 122 errors just seems sloppy to me. Looks a lot better but spend thirty minutes with HTML validator and I'd bet money that over 3/4's of those errors will be squashed. :)

Keeps looking better each time. There's still something missing to me, but I don't know what it is... Maybe better separation from video to video in the listings(with color, maybe?)?

And change the "make big" link to "enlarge video." Makes much more sense.

Personal preference of mine... keep your javascript and styling out of your markup. Markup is markup. The stylesheets are meant for styling. The javascript files are meant for client side enhancements. Take them out of your markup.

I agree, but less of a preference and more of a MUST for me. External files mean less load and more caching, which means you save bandwidth. Also, I hate inline JavaScript as well, but that is a matter of preference (and keeping up with standards :-p).

Great input everyone, I really appreciate it. For the validation errors I had taken the previous advice and made my site valid XHTML, I forgot to re-check after this latest round of updates. Anyways the 100 some odd errors were because of a missing alt tags and not much else....good looking out! About the internal javascript I definitely wish I had known more about JS when I did this because I am definitely intending on getting all the JS out of the markup when i get some time. Thanks again everyone...keep em coming!
