I've just posted up my latest template:

You can download the source here:

I know it's a little strange for a template, but I just wanted to have some fun and try some new techniques with this one.

Any feedback appreciated :D

Certainly a new technique. I think it's good for a "for fun" layout. I don't think it would work as an official or business layout.

While I'd never use it for my website, I like it. It's certainly interesting & not too obtrusive.

The only thing I'd suggest is have that initial dot either pulse or shake or something to draw the user's attention as something to click on.

Yep, really nice, but as pickle said, that initial dot needs some way of enticing you to click. Also, the eye balls need some kind of text appear when you "mouseover" so you know which section you will be taken to. Same with the back button in the sections.

That dot needs something. Maybe a reflection, or shadow, or something that makes the user want to click it. And those eyeballs are freaking wild. But cool.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm going to add some text to the startup dot and rollover text to the eyeballs. I'll post up a new version soon :D

They nailed everything I would have suggested. It is very nice. I think that designer's websites are one of the few exceptions where this type of website is acceptable. I totally agree that you should be able to know what you're going to be taken to once you click on the eyeball though.

Whoa. At first I saw this ugly little dot and I'm like "What is this?"
That was extremely well done!

I'd just make the dot look better, or more appealing to click on. Maybe also have a company logo above it that moves out of the way come animation time.
